FiberCap 2021/2023

The FiberCap system is specifically designed to provide a low cost, high capacity solution for fibre determination. The system generates results in agreement with the Weende, van Soest and other recognised methods.
Batch handling, with no sample transfer, is used throughout the procedure.
De-fatting, boiling, rinsing and filtration are performed under reproducible and controlled conditions.
The FiberCap capsule is specifically designed to minimise errors and give reproducible analytical conditions from time to time. Filtration or washing is done in seconds for all sample types.

The FiberCap capsules.

The FiberCap system is available in either 18 or 6 position systems and one operator can easily handle several systems simultaneously giving a very high throughput. For example, 4 batches with the 18 position system give 72 finished extractions in 1½ hours. The low investment cost also makes it preferable to manual standard methods based on filtration, offering substantial savings in manual handling and time as well as improved analytical precision.

Safety

• De-fatting takes less than 2 minutes with minimised solvent contact for the operator

Accuracy

• The sample is kept in the capsule throughout the analysis, which improves measurement precision and saves time
• The FiberCap 2021/2023 gives results in agreement with official methods

Values

• Extract up to 72 samples in 1½ hours. Four modules of 18 positions can easily be handled by one person
• The capsule design permits filtration in seconds for all sample types
• Only 20 ml of solvent and 60 ml of each reagent is used per sample
